Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Who we are
This policy explains how Doquima Corp. ("Doquima", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through www.doquima.com. Doquima Corp. is the controller of that information, which means we decide how and why it is used.
Doquima Corp., PO Box 11026, McLean, VA 22102, USA. Email: privacy@doquima.net.
2. What we collect
- Contact and publishing inquiries: your name, email address, and the message you write.
- Job applications: your name, email address, the role you are interested in, an optional portfolio or LinkedIn link, and what you tell us about yourself.
- Technical data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. When you send a form, our bot check processes similar technical signals from your browser.
Please don't include sensitive information, such as health data or government ID numbers, in a form. We don't need it to respond to you.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, data protection law requires us to have a legal basis for each use of your information:
- To answer your inquiry and, if you ask, to discuss working together. Basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to messages sent to us.
- To review your job application and contact you about it. Basis: taking steps at your request before a possible employment or contractor agreement.
- To keep your application on file for future roles. Basis: our legitimate interest in finding good people, which you can object to at any time.
- To send you a one-time confirmation that we received your form. Basis: our legitimate interest in letting you know your message arrived.
- To keep the website and forms secure, including blocking spam and abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our systems and inbox.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records if you become a client. Basis: legal obligation.
We don't send marketing emails, we don't use your information for advertising, and we don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. We only share it with service providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website, protects it against attacks, and runs Cloudflare Turnstile, the bot check on our forms. Turnstile checks that a person, not an automated bot, is submitting the form, using technical signals such as your IP address and browser characteristics. Cloudflare does not use this information for advertising.
- Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox and sends your confirmation email. Form submissions are not stored on this website.
- Our email and document providers, where we read and keep your messages and applications.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users, or others.
5. International transfers
Doquima Corp. is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) where the recipient is certified, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Inquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact with you. If you become a client, we keep business records for as long as the law requires.
- Job applications: up to 2 years after you apply, so we can consider you for future roles. You can ask us to delete your application sooner.
- Technical data: kept by our hosting and email providers for short periods under their own retention policies, typically days to weeks, for security and delivery purposes.
7. Cookies and tracking
With your permission, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website traffic and page-loading performance through aggregate reports. Its lightweight script measures page views, visits, referring websites, browser and device types, country-level location, and loading performance. We use these reports to improve our pages and understand interest in our services, products, and publishing content.
Optional analytics stays off until you enable it in Privacy choices. You can decline or withdraw permission at any time using Privacy choices in the footer. We also keep it off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage, fingerprint visitors, or track them across websites. We do not send contact or publishing inquiries, job applications, names, email addresses, or messages to analytics. Information about the service is available at https://developers.cloudflare.com/web-analytics/about/.
We store only your analytics choice, its version, and the time it was saved in your browser for up to 180 days; this preference is not sent to us and contains no visitor identifier. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to protect the site and run the bot check on our forms.
8. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, limit access to personal information to the people who need it, and choose service providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your information.
- Restrict how we use your information.
- Object to our use of your information based on legitimate interests.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
- Complain to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information. To make a request, email privacy@doquima.net. We will reply within one month and may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
10. Children
This website is intended for adults. Our publishing pages describe books for young readers, but we ask children to have a parent or guardian contact us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website or services change. We will post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date. If a change significantly affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you directly where we can.
12. Contact us
